Lyric Poem · Love

Two Threads

by The QuillOak Editors

Two threads alone are slender things

that any snag can sever,

but twisted close, turn after turn,

they'll hold through any weather.

So twist your days together now,

your mornings and your nights —

what starts as thread becomes, with years,

the rope that holds the heights.
