Lyric Poem · Love

How You Take Your Coffee

by The QuillOak Editors

I know the way you take your coffee,

half a sugar, too much cream;

I know which song you skip, embarrassed,

and what you mutter when you dream.

The world counts love in big occasions,

roses, anniversaries —

but I keep mine in small notations:

all your tiny liturgies.
