Lyric Poem · Kindness
Two Syllables
"Thank you" is a small return —
two syllables, one breath —
for someone who showed up and stayed
and gave their level best.
So read between these little words,
there's more than ink can say:
you made a hard thing lighter,
and I won't forget the day.
