The Man on the Sofa

by The QuillOak Editors

1I used to think the word was formal,

2something for forms and for insurance.

3Now it's the man asleep on the sofa with the dog,

4the one who knows how I take bad news

5and which side of the bed I want,

6who learned them both

7without being told.
