There Will Come Soft RainsBarter

Sara Teasdale won the first Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1918. Her short lyrics — clear, musical, and emotionally exact — made her one of the best-selling poets of the early twentieth century.

"There Will Come Soft Rains," imagining nature's indifference after humanity destroys itself in war, later gave Ray Bradbury the title for one of his most famous stories.
