The Forest, Writing Back
You won't remember every student;
there were thousands. Fair enough.
But somewhere out here, all grown,
are people who can still hear you saying
"try it again — you're closer than you think,"
in moments when it matters.
You planted in the dark, mostly.
This is the forest, writing back.
